Rifle Reloading Equipment

rifle reloading equipment

    reloading
  • (reload) recharge: load anew; "She reloaded the gun carefully"

  • In a reloading scam, a victim is repeatedly approached by con artists, often until "sucked dry". This form of fraud is perpetrated on those more susceptible to pressure after the first losses, perhaps because of hopes to recover money previously invested, perhaps because of inability to say "no"

  • Handloading or reloading is the process of loading firearm cartridges or shotgun shells by assembling the individual components (brass/shotshell, primer, powder, and bullet/shot), rather than purchasing completely-assembled, factory-loaded cartridges.

  • Load (something, esp. a gun that has been fired) again

    equipment
  • The process of supplying someone or something with such necessary items

  • an instrumentality needed for an undertaking or to perform a service

  • Mental resources

  • The necessary items for a particular purpose

  • A tool is a device that can be used to produce or achieve something, but that is not consumed in the process. Colloquially a tool can also be a procedure or process used for a specific purpose.

  • The act of equipping, or the state of being equipped, as for a voyage or expedition; Whatever is used in equipping; necessaries for an expedition or voyage; the collective designation for the articles comprising an outfit; equipage; as, a railroad equipment (locomotives, cars, etc.

    rifle
  • go through in search of something; search through someone's belongings in an unauthorized way; "Who rifled through my desk drawers?"

  • A gun, esp. one fired from shoulder level, having a long spirally grooved barrel intended to make a bullet spin and thereby have greater accuracy over a long distance

  • Troops armed with rifles

  • a shoulder firearm with a long barrel and a rifled bore; "he lifted the rifle to his shoulder and fired"

  • plunder: steal goods; take as spoils; "During the earthquake people looted the stores that were deserted by their owners"

WWII .50cal Sniper Rifle (DA Contest)

WWII .50cal Sniper Rifle (DA Contest)

Alright, so I was going to remake my steampunk barrett in 0.7 and decided to do this instead since I'm officially competing and it ends tomorrow night xD

The American M27 APR - Armor Penetration Rifle

Fires .50BMG sized ammo created to penetrate the thick hides of enemy tanks.

Semi-Auto
5 round mag
Uses a set trigger to help the user deal with recoil.

The major aspect of this design is the barrel retracts a full 10" during firing to suck up recoil AND cycle the weapon.
THERE IS NO BOLT
There is a larger secondary barrel within the upper wood section that seals the main barrel. Upon firing it retracts and rotates 90* to eject the spent shell, then rotates back before reaching the mag, using the same hole to pull in the fresh round.

The recoil even after being dampened by this system was too great for the scopes of the time, so the user is stuck using irons.
Also bipods were attempted however the recoil rutinly snapped or otherwise broke the older models.

Generally upon reloading the rifle is held perpendicular to the ground and the charging handle is pulled back.

This leads to another major factor. The charging handle is HEAVY and acts as a counter balance to the recoil (much as an AK107) since it moves with every shot.

This means FELT recoil is much much less than ACTUAL recoil. The actual recoil is actually enhanced due to vibrations and counter vibrations throughout, hence the issues with mounted equipment.

What appears to be a gas block in the foregrip is actually a large spring housing, since there is no room for a spring behind the barrel.

Also, it's being changed to be more and more mine but the rear half of the woodwork is STILL Aridar's M14. So credit for that.
And the trigger+guard is also credit to Worlock. I finally made something worthy of a custom part from him o.o
